This is Danny's what-could-have-been, the consequences of his actions had he turned evil. In an alternate timeline, Danny cheating on the Career Aptitude Test results in the tragic loss of his two best friends, his entire family, and Mr. Lancer. Vlad's attempt to help Danny try to deal with his grief causes a terrible accident. Removing Danny's ghost half went horribly awry, with Phantom attacking Vlad and likewise ripping the billionaire's ghost half out. One mishap later, the two fuse into a single ghost, spelling ruin for the future.

He's an enigma, violent and cruel, absolutely ruthless and best described as utterly evil. No one knows why he set out to destroy Amity Park in that alternate future. He's insanely powerful, having destroyed Amity Park ten years in the future. Not to mention he's likewise wrecked havoc on the Ghost Zone. No one even knows how he identifies himself. He has no official name other than future Valerie refering to him as "Phantom." The video game calls him Dan, while alternate names for him include "Evil Danny" and "Dark Danny."
