Danny Fenton was a normal, slightly less-than-average C-student with an abnormal home life. His parents are ghost hunters and paranormal inventors. After being coaxed by his friends into fooling with advanced technology, there was an accident involving the Fenton Ghost Portal. The result of an accident gave him mysterious ghost powers, and unleashed ghosts into the human world. He became Danny Phantom, a superhero defending the world against all things ectoplasmic!

Danny definitely doesn’t have it easy. He has it rough at school, with tough teachers, violent jocks hunting for his head, and a love life that manages to be hectic without even existing! But he tries to balance his ghost side with his human side, and with the help of friends and family, he manages well. (When, you know, they’re not trying to maim him.)

Regular Danny Fenton has simple interests in mind. He chases after the most popular girl in school, like the girl crazy teen he is. He wants to be an astronaut (and got his wish for a while!). He wants his older sister to just leave him alone sometimes. All the while, Danny Phantom just keeps getting stronger, and all the bad guys keep trying harder to eradicate him. And his mid-battle puns keep getting better. Sometimes. Despite all of the help he tries to give however, a lot of people see Phantom as just another evil ghost tormenting humanity.
