Now that Jazz knows about Danny’s ghost powers, she is concerned about his safety and insists on helping him out in his ghost fighting. Danny assures her that he can do fine on his own, but Jazz will have none of it. Jazz accompanies Danny one night when he is ghost hunting, but she is a hopeless ghost fighter, trapping Danny in the Fenton thermos three times and letting the other ghosts get away.

The next day, when a very frustrated Danny learns that Jazz has hacked into his private ghost files, Danny can’t take it anymore and breaks down. He yells at her in front of the whole school, telling her that she’s a lousy ghost hunter with no respect for her brother’s privacy. Jazz is heartbroken by this and runs away from home. Meanwhile, Skullker is back, and he is snooping around town stealing seemingly unrelated objects: bloodstream nanobots and an ecto-converter. But Danny doesn’t have much time to worry what Skullkers up to, because he thinks that Jazz has gone off to prove she isn’t a lousy ghost hunter by fighting Skullker. Danny rushes off into the ghost zone to find them. ,

Meanwhile, we catch up to Jazz, but she isn’t fighting Skullker, she gone off to live with ‘Uncle Vlad’ for a while. But Jazz isn’t truly there because she’s mad at Danny, she’s figured out what Skullker’s up to. She discovers Vlad’s secret lab in his basement, and finds her prediction true: Vlad is building a super-weapon with the item Skullker has been stealing. Suddenly, Vlad and Skullker burst in on her. Vlad’s pretty pissed off, and Skullker is carrying the last piece to the super weapon, a lightning rod, and Danny in a cage! Vlad, still thinking tha Jazz wants to live with him, decides that the only way to have Jazz prove her loyalty was to his would be to have her use the super weapon he has built up to fight her brother. Vlad brings them to a football field by his house to duke it out. Vlad explains that his super weapon is Jack ecto-skeleton, with a few modifications. The lightning rod and ecto-converter serve as an endless power supply, and the bloodstream nanobots control her breathing and heart rate. The nano bots allow Vlad to use a special remote to drain her if she betrays him.

At the beginning of the fight, Jazz is beating on Danny. She’s very angry with him for embarrassing her at school, and for calling her a lousy ghost hunter. Danny’s trying to make a convincing ‘fight’, since he doesn’t want to hurt his own sister, but Jazz’s aggression confuses him. Quietly so Vlad can’t hear, she whispers to Danny that she’s trying to be convincing. Their ‘fight’ continues, until Danny fakes his own death. Vlad comes out, very pleased with Jazz, until Danny ‘wakes up’ and Jazz blasts him into the bleachers. Danny steals Vlad’s remote, and blasts him back out onto the football field. Vlad reveals his ghost form to Jazz, but when he looks up, Danny and Jazz are no where to be found, and they have set the ecto-suit on self-destruct. Vlad goes up in smokes, and Danny and Jazz, back at the car, finally make up.
